The Valley View Eagles lost against the Great Oak Wolfpack back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Valley View falling 62-46. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 495th, while Great Oak is ranked 197th).
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cassius Wrisley, who scored four points. Jabril Jones was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Valley View and nudges their season record down to 8-9. As for Great Oak, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Valley View is on the road again on Friday and play against Paloma Valley at 3:00 p.m. on December 29th. Great Oak will finish 2023 at home by hosting Linfield Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
