AUBURN, Ala. -
Auburn (Ala.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 51-14 victory over Murphy (Mobile, Ala.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Bradley Northcutt touchdown pass to
Kyle Sikes in the first quarter, the Tigers led 24-0 at the half.
Auburn grew its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Jeramiya Kitchens.
Auburn's standout player in the win was
Cooper Flanagan. He kicked four extra points.
Led by
Rashaan Evans, Auburn entered the contest giving up 18.4 points per game this year. A defensively strong AHS kept the Panthers well below the 31.8 points it had been averaging per game.
