The Out-of-Door Academy Thunder were the 1-0 winner over Gulf Coast HEAT when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Out-of-Door Academy suffered a rough 40-14 loss at the hands of Gulf Coast HEAT on Tuesday.
Daisy Quintal was Out-of-Door Academy's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Remmy Franklin held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Out-of-Door Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Out-of-Door Academy will challenge Berkeley Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Berkeley Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, they will head out on the road to face off against Sarasota Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sarasota Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 472nd, while Gulf Coast HEAT is ranked 118th).
