On Tuesday, the Ben Davis Giants faced the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ben Davis secured a  71-65 W over Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory. Winning may never get old, but Ben Davis sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
  K.J. Windham was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 25 points along with four  steals and four  blocks. The  match was  his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Tavion Williams, who  scored 14 points.
 Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Evan Haywood, who  scored 25 points along with six  rebounds. Haywood scored a full 38.5% of Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's points, the fifth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Quinn Warren was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Ben Davis pushed their record up to 9-2 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ben Davis won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Franklin Central at 6:30  p.m.  on January 10th. Franklin Central will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Ben Davis is ranked seventh). Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Indianapolis Metropolitan at 7:30  p.m.  on January 16th.
