Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Goliad). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 59-25 blowout they got against the Luling Eagles. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 60-15 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2018.

Goliad pushed their record up to 9-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.3 points per game. As for Luling, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Goliad will take on Nixon-Smiley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Luling, they will challenge Stockdale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
