Liberty Baptist Academy hasn't had much luck against Indian Springs recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. The Liberty Baptist Academy Knights will look to defend their home field  against the Indian Springs Thunderbirds  at 5:00  p.m. Liberty Baptist Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8  runs per game  this season.
On Saturday, Liberty Baptist Academy came up short against Vasquez  and fell  11-7. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.
Liberty Baptist Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Noah McConnell, who  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double. McConnell is  on a roll when it comes to  hits, as he's  now  got three or more in each of the last three games he's  played.  Dominic Giannini was another,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 McConnell wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Liberty Baptist Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Indian Springs had just enough and edged out Wells  5-4 last Friday. The  win continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now won four in a row.
 Jacob Gourley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up  four earned runs off only  two  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Four bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Adam Groeblinghoff, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.
 Indian Springs' victory was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 3-1.
 Liberty Baptist Academy might still be hurting after the  15-5 loss they got from Indian Springs  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024.
