A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Cougars dukes it out withthe Joliet West Tigers at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
 Last Thursday, Plainfield South didn't have quite enough to beat Plainfield North and fell  2-1.
 In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Plainfield South sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 20-25,  25-21.
 Meanwhile, Joliet West narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past Yorkville  2-1.
 The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Joliet West who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 23-25,  25-19.
 Joliet West's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Sidney Barlog, who  had 15  digs, and   Lexie Grevengoed, who  had 12  kills and ten  digs. Grevengoed is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as she's  now  had five or more in the last 15 games she's  played.
 Plainfield South has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record  this season. As for Joliet West, their record is now 15-4.
 Plainfield South came up short against Joliet West when the teams last played  back in October of 2023, falling  2-0. Can Plainfield South avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
