The Enterprise Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. Their tough 55-32 loss to East Marion might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Enterprise in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.
Brian Foxworth had an outrageously good game for East Marion as he scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Foxworth scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was LaDarien Haynes, who scored 12 points.
Enterprise has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for East Marion, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enterprise will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Mississippi (Resurrection Catholic is ranked 250th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 247th). As for East Marion, they will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
