Basketball Recap: Daeshawn Fiore Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

It was a proper cat-fight when East challenged Beechcroft on Friday. The East Tigers came out on top against the Beechcroft Cougars by a score of 61-54. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 77-76 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

East's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daeshawn Fiore, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Fiore's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Antwain Reedus was another key player, putting up 18 points along with five boards and three steals.

East pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Beechcroft, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4.

East will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northland at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Beechcroft and Big Walnut will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
