CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. -
Wakulla (Crawfordville, Fla.) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 24-8 victory over
Escambia (Pensacola, Fla.) on Saturday.
The War Eagles were up 10-0 at the half after taking the lead on a field goal by
Feleipe Franks in the first quarter.
Wakulla expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown pass by
Caleb Stephens to
Brandon Nichols.
Stephens played well for the Crawfordville school in the victory. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The Gators' lone touchdown came on a run in the fourth quarter.
The War Eagles came into the game allowing 12.0 points per game. Escambia's eight points were well below its season average of 17.3 per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-7 win for Wakulla.
