The Hackensack Comets lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Ramapo 71-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hackensack has scored all season.
Ramapo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Eglinton manner out in front who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Cervino, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists.
Hackensack's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Ramapo, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Hackensack will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Eastside is ranked 89th, while Hackensack is ranked 100th). As for Ramapo, they will head out on the road to square off against Wayne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
