Little Elm is 2-8 against Prosper since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Little Elm Lobos will head out on the road to square off against the Prosper Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Little Elm is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Little Elm suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-39 walloping at the hands of McKinney. That's two games in a row now that Little Elm has lost by exactly 20 points.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Camron Brown, who scored nine points along with two steals. Joseph Brickley was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Prosper's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 58-39 fall against Guyer. While losing is never fun, Prosper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while Guyer is ranked 36th).
Little Elm has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Prosper, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
Little Elm came up short against Prosper in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 77-65. Can Little Elm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
