It was a good run, but the Tindley Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter by a score of 61-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Tindley has suffered since December 12, 2023.
Tindley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Damon Van Horn, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Adonis Warfield, who scored 11 points along with two blocks.
Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Highbaugh, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Highbaugh has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Bolden, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Tindley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tindley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christel House at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Indianapolis Crispus Attucks knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter likes a good challenge.
