  Ashlynn Weld made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out ten batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Weld was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Aubree Simmons and  Raelynn Weld did most of the damage at the plate:  Simmons  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3, while  Weld  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Mia Monroe, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 On Hoquiam's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mya Standstipher, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Elma's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Hoquiam, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record  this season.
 As of now, neither Elma nor Hoquiam have any future games scheduled.
