Macomb is a perfect 3-0 against Bushnell-Prairie City since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bombers are taking a road trip to challenge the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Macomb and 26 for Bushnell-Prairie City dating back to last season.

Nika Daytner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Olivia Whitney was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Bushnell-Prairie City lost 18-6 to Seymour on Saturday.

Taylor Lillie was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Bushnell-Prairie City's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Macomb, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Bushnell-Prairie City's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Macomb has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bushnell-Prairie City, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Macomb keep running through batters, or will the Spartans buck the trend?

Macomb took their victory against Bushnell-Prairie City in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 24-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
