The Redding Christian Lions''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 28-20 to Los Molinos. Redding Christian was down 28-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Ty Walker had a dynamite game for Los Molinos, rushing for 195 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Cantonwine, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown.
Redding Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Los Molinos, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redding Christian will challenge Etna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Etna is on a three-game streak of home losses, Redding Christian a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. As for Los Molinos, they will head out on the road to face off against Fall River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
