Covington were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their match against Narrows on Friday. Covington didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 28-32 to Narrows. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Covington of the 0-21 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head.
The loss dropped Covington back to even at 3-3. The victory bumped Narrows' record up to 5-1.
Next week Covington take on McCluer at Covington High School at 7:00 PM. McCluer have averaged 40.5 points over the course of their past three games, so Covington might be in for a challenge. As for Narrows, they will face off against Eastern Montgomery. Unlike Narrows, Eastern Montgomery will be limping in after taking a loss.
