Metamora has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Rochester Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Metamora will be strutting in after a victory while Rochester will be coming in after a loss.
Metamora proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 20) but last Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Saint Ignatius College Prep 49-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Metamora has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Rochester came up short against Sacred Heart-Griffin on Saturday and fell 43-33. While losing is never fun, Rochester can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while Sacred Heart-Griffin is ranked 91st).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Becca Ryan, who scored nine points.
Metamora's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Rochester, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
