Despite the defeat, Tulpehocken had strong showings from Aidan Schwalm, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, and Lucas Werner, who scored eight points. Werner scored a full 26.7% of Tulpehocken's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Kutztown can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Hamburg. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Kutztown has managed all season.
Tulpehocken's defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Kutztown, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.
Things could have been worse for Tulpehocken, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-50 loss to Kutztown in their previous matchup back in February. Can Tulpehocken avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
