The Enterprise Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Sylva Bay Academy Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Enterprise's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Noxubee County 16-0. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Brody Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Enterprise: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Brody Blackburn was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Stone Griffin also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Enterprise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Sylva Bay Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 15-0 win. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Saints yet this season.
Lane Miller made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Sylva Bay Academy let Levi West and Micah Odom run wild. West went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Odom scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Odom is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Parker Webb was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Sylva Bay Academy pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing ten hits in those games compared to only 3.33 in the others. As for Enterprise, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8.
