They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Clarksville Academy 54-51. For Ezell-Harding Christian, this counts as revenge for the 67-52 loss Clarksville Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Ezell-Harding Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Blake Dean led the charge by scoring 21 points. Dean hasn't dropped below 15 points for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was MJ Gibbs, who scored 15 points.
Ezell-Harding Christian pushed their record up to 17-6 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.1 points. As for Clarksville Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
Coincidentally, Ezell-Harding Christian and Clarksville Academy will both be playing Davidson Academy the next time they take the court. Ezell-Harding Christian will head out to face Davidson Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Clarksville Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
