Paynesville meet. The Mainstreeters currently hold a 0.50-game lead over the Bulldogs for first place.
Paynesville made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from sixth to second place in the league thanks to a 6-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile,
Minnewaska Area fell hardest in the standings, dropping from first all the way to third place after going 0-3 in the past week. First-place Sauk Centre (6-5, 4-2) went 3-3 over the past week.
Albany's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 22 hits and eight walks to lead the league in both categories. The Huskies have given up a mere 69 hits on the year in addition to compiling 63 strikeouts.
Tony Schoenberg is the leader in that category with 22 Ks on the season.
