Crowley is 1-7 against Rayne since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Crowley Gent will look to defend their home court against the Rayne Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Crowley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Friday.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Crowley ultimately got the result they hoped for. They secured a 43-38 W over Northside Christian. The win was just what Crowley needed coming off of a 55-19 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Alaysia Arvie, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals.
Meanwhile, Rayne's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 47-27 loss at the hands of Church Point. While losing is never fun, Rayne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Church Point is ranked 30th).
The win got Crowley back to even at 3-3. As for Rayne, the last time they won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost five straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 2-6.
Crowley came up short against Rayne when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 60-53. Will Crowley have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
