Quitman fell victim to Eustace and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of Eustace by a score of 1-0. Quitman's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for Eustace, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quitman will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Grand Saline at 7:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Eustace, they will head out to challenge Malakoff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
