The Baldwin Indians lost against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Baldwin suffered a tough 58-36 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals. Baldwin has not had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
It was another big night for Asya Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 36 points and nine rebounds for Bishop Snyder. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carolyn Caldwell, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three blocks.
Baldwin's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-13. As for Bishop Snyder, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Baldwin will face off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jones and Nyrie Gabriel. As for Bishop Snyder, they will take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m.
