Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Parkside Rams, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 46-7 loss at the hands of Kent Island. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Parkside in their matchups with Kent Island: they've now lost four in a row.
Shane Bogardus was his usual excellent self, rushing for 135 yards and four touchdowns. Austin Holland was in the mix too, providing Kent Island with two touchdowns.
Parkside's defeat was their third straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.0 points per game. As for Kent Island, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Parkside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kent Island will square off against North Caroline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Caroline is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
