Reading has gone 9-1 against Deer Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Deer Park took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Reading, who comes in off a win.
Reading is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Miami Valley Christian Academy by a score of 6-3 on Saturday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Carter Reed was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Reed was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Luke Dunaway looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Lincoln Lattire and Jackson Thamann did most of the damage at the plate: Lattire went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Thamann got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Lattire a new career-high. Cain Evans also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Deer Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-15 heartbreaker at the hands of Withrow.
Deer Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Goebel, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another was Cooper Roberts, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Deer Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Reading, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Everything went Reading's way against Deer Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Reading made off with a 28-0 win. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
