After two weeks on the road, Cherokee is heading back home. They will square off against Ringwood at 7:00 PM on Friday. Cherokee will be hoping to continue their now four-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
In almost any game, 48 points would all but guarantee a win. Not in this one. Cherokee made easy work of Kremlin-Hillsdale last Thursday and carried off a 82-48 victory. That looming 34-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cherokee yet.
Meanwhile, Ringwood put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took the matchup and then some with a 56-12 win over Garber. The rankings were on Ringwood's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Their wins bumped Ringwood to 4-4 and Cherokee to 5-3. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
