Fergus will be playing at home against Dawson/Terry at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Fergus have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
After a string of six wins, Fergus's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 18-49 punch to the gut against Billings Central Catholic. Fergus's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Mitchell Norslien, who picked up 84 yards on the ground and accumulated 175 passing yards. Norslien has been a consistent playmaker for Fergus as this was the 8th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but Dawson/Terry weren't quite Belgrade's equal in the second half when they met. Dawson/Terry took a 21-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belgrade. Dawson/Terry's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it three losses in a row.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
