The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Snooks, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine steals.
Douglas was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hug only posted five.
Despite the loss, Hug still got an impressive performance from Elijah Herbert, who shot 62% from the field en route to 25 points and eight rebounds. Marcel Bryant was another key player, putting up four points along with five boards and four steals.
Looking ahead, Douglas will take on Roseville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hug, they will venture away from home to challenge Incline at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
