Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Forrest County Agricultural rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Northeast Jones by a score of 24-16.
Meanwhile, Poplarville stacked a fourth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Lanier at home to the tune of 58-26.
Poplarville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Landon Reinike, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown, and Zack Case, who gained 96 total yards and two touchdowns. Tylan Keys also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Forrest County Agricultural's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Poplarville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Forrest County Agricultural took a serious blow against Poplarville in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 41-6. Can Forrest County Agricultural avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
