Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Corinth Holders

Corinth Holders put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Apex Friendship Patriots.

Pyper Vardy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

Corinth Holders' record now sits at 3-0. As for Apex Friendship, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Corinth Holders wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-1 victory against Rolesville on the 4th. As for Apex Friendship, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-9 win against Garner on the 4th.
