Shelby Valley can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Tug Valley, posting a 63-36 victory at home.
Meanwhile, Floyd Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against Magoffin County as Floyd Central made off with a 62-37 victory. That's two games straight that Floyd Central has won by exactly 25 points.
It was another big night for Riley Compton, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Engle, who scored nine points.
Shelby Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Floyd Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season.
Shelby Valley strolled past Floyd Central in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 58-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shelby Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
