Chas Dodd completed 17 of 25 passes for 265 yards and five touchdowns to lead Byrnes to a huge win over the Southern Carolina defending 3A champion Myrtle Beach. Marcus Lattimore added 152 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns. The Rebels are 2-0 to start the season.

Skyline quarterback Jake Heaps finished 18 of 33 for 152 yards and two touchdowns, but the real story was the Spartan defense, which limited Jesuit to negative 11 yards rushing in the first half.

Mark Miller threw a pair of touchdowns passes to help Elder overcome and early 7-3 Colerain lead and secure its 15th straight home victory.

Longview spread the wealth in its second win of the season with four players figuring in the scoring. Da'Cedric Hunt had a pair of 2-yard runs but had only eight carries for 38 yards. Tyler McCray led the rushing attack with 93 yards on 11 carries. Aaron Johnson threw a touchdown pass and completed 7 of 12 passes for 103 yards.

Zann Jones caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Kiehl Frazier with 18 seconds remaining to give Shiloh Christian the win over Evangel Christian. He also had a game-saving tackle on the final play of the game at the 4-yard line to preserve the win.

Devon Blackledge exploded for 168 yards on 22 carries and scored five touchdowns for the Seraphs. Logan Meyer also had a big game at quarterback, completing 16 of 26 passes for 256 yards in St. Bonaventure's season opener.

Junior quarterback Marquis Thompson threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Geno Hall with 2:33 left in the game to lift Crenshaw over Lakewood. Hall caught 10 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns in the game according to the Los Angeles Times. Jesse Scroggins led Lakewood by completing 17 of 27 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns.

South Panola (Batesville, Miss.) - 19
Memphis University struck early for a 21-0 lead and held off a late South Panola comeback to remain unbeaten at 3-0 on the season. The MUS defense stopped a two-point conversion with 6:35 left in the game to prevent the Tigers from tying the game. Owls quarterback Barry Brunetti threw a pair of touchdowns to Stephen Almond, who finished the game with six catches for 152 yards. Nicholas Parker scored three rushing touchdowns to get South Panola back into the game.

Ted Bridgewater rushed for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns and also completed 8 of 21 passes for 147 yards and a score in the Bulls' season-opening win over Carol City.

Jonny Miller rushed for a touchdown and completed 11 of 17 passes for 168 yards in Mullen's win over Cherokee Trail. He got help from Adonis A. Moore, who ran for 79 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns. Mullen is 2-0 on the season.

Driphus Jackson threw a 41-yard touchdown pass and also ran for a pair of touchdowns for Cedar Hill, which ran its record to 2-0. The shutout loss was the first for Rider since the 2001 season.

Allen bounced back from an opening loss to Longview to top Prepa Tech of Mexico. Matt Brown rushed for three touchdowns, including a 68-yard scamper on the first play of the game. He also threw for 130 yards.

Ohio hasn't been kind to the Flyers, who dropped their second game to a team from the Buckeye State. This time Middletown got the best of the defending Illinois state champions behind Caleb Watkins' three touchdown passes. Detchauz Wray completed 13 of 28 passes for 158 yards and a score for the Flyers, but he also threw two interceptions. Courtney Molton added 114 yards on 20 carries for East St. Louis.
