Freeman has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Hanson Beavers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Even though Freeman has not done well against the Cavaliers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Freeman blew past the Cavaliers 65-33 at home.
Freeman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Peters led the charge by scoring 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of David Walter, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Hanson got the win against the Pheasants on Saturday by a conclusive 57-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hanson.
Freeman's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Hanson, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Freeman was dealt a bruising 73-46 loss at the hands of the Beavers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Freeman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
