Centennial is 8-2 against Ironwood since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Coyotes will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Centennial has six straight wins, Ironwood has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Centennial's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Sunrise Mountain by a score of 3-0.

03/12/25 @ Corona del Sol | 4 |
02/26/25 @ Shadow Ridge | 2 |
03/25/25 @ Lake Havasu | 1 |
The result came thanks to JT Price's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Centennial is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise.
At the plate, Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Daniels, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
Meanwhile, Ironwood might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Fairfax who claimed the real prize. The Eagles fell just short of the Stampede by a score of 6-5.
Sebastian Rodriguez was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Rodriguez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Lane Stilwell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Alex Misner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Ironwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Centennial has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ironwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Centennial's way against Ironwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Centennial made off with a 12-1 win. Do the Coyotes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
