In what's become a running theme this season, the Christ the King Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Bradford Prep with a sharp 51-30 victory. With Christ the King ahead 37-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Audrey Gorman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Lagueux, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Bradford Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Aliyah Elfrard and Laila Jones. Elfrard scored eight points, while Jones scored ten points.
The victory (which was Christ the King's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Bradford Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ the King will challenge the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Corvian Community is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Bradford Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Community School of Davidson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
