The University Titans lost against the Atlantic Sharks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. University fell 44-37 to the Sharks.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexis Hall, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaviany Nelson, who scored 11 points.
Atlantic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from VANESSA SPADA, who scored six points along with 34 rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that SPADA pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aurielle Reavis, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
University's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Atlantic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will take on the Wolf Pack at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Port presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Titans in Florida (the Wolf Pack are ranked 121st, while the Titans are ranked 625th). As for Atlantic, they will head out on the road to take on the Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
