The Merrill Vandals won the last time they faced the Coleman Comets, and things went their way on Thursday too. Merrill strolled past Coleman with points to spare, taking the game 47-30.
Despite the loss, Coleman still got an impressive performance from Maddy Miller, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Autumn Sapp was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Merrill now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Coleman, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merrill will be home for the holidays to greet St. Louis at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Coleman will be home for the holidays to greet Vestaburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
