The Adirondack Wildcats will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on the Skaneateles Lakers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
 Adirondack is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They had to suffer through a   48-6 loss at the hands of New Hartford. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' New York football rankings  (they are ranked 135th, while the Spartans are ranked 41st).
 Meanwhile, Skaneateles blew past Fulton, posting  a  41-6 victory on the road. With the Lakers ahead  28-6 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
  Hugh Carroll was a one-man wrecking crew for Skaneateles as he rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes. Another player making a difference was  Brady Ellis, who gained 67 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Skaneateles' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  three times.  Luke Logan was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sackshimself.
