Volleyball Recap: Model Beats Trion for Their Eighth Straight Win

Model had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trion Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Model easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17.

Model can attribute much of their success to Maralea Davis, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Davis has posted since back in October of 2024.

Model's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Trion, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Model and Trion will both be playing Unity Christian the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
