Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ravenna). They managed a 51-46 victory over the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Ravenna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reannon Siegel, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points along with five boards and four steals. Siegel continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Kellie Huryta was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.
Ravenna was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Doniphan-Trumbull lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Charlee Richter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. What's more, Richter also racked up five assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Zoe Yost, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Ravenna and bumps their season record up to 3-8. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
