Baseball Recap: Colonial Beach Takes a Loss

Colonial Beach was the 6-3 winner over Middlesex when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Drifters lost 15-4 to the Chargers on Tuesday. The Drifters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colonial Beach saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Steffey, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Steffey has become a key player for the Drifters: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise.

Colonial Beach now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Middlesex, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Coming up, Colonial Beach will challenge West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Middlesex has already played their next matchup (against Northumberland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
