The Glenn Bobcats had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 66-62 W over Mount Tabor on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given Glenn's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Mount Tabor is ranked 28th).
Glenn got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chancellor Royal-Owens out in front who scored 15 points along with seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Griffin, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Glenn's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Mount Tabor, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenn will take on East Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Forsyth has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 469 points over their last seven matchups. As for Mount Tabor, they will be playing at home against Reagan at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Mount Tabor's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Reagan has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
