Powhatan came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Louisa County Lions, sneaking past 10-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-3 back in March.

Powhatan pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Louisa County, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powhatan will welcome Midlothian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Louisa County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goochland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
