The United Faith Christian Academy Falcons suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 52-32 loss at the hands of Concord Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points United Faith Christian Academy has scored all season.
Concord Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samantha Meyers, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Justice Alexander was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds.
United Faith Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Concord Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
United Faith Christian Academy and Oak City Prep will face off at 10:00 a.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Concord Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Westminster Catawba Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Westminster Catawba Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 279th in South Carolina, while Concord Academy is ranked 44th in North Carolina).
