The Green Hope Falcons will be playing at home against the Green Level Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Green Hope and four for Green Level.
Green Hope fell victim to Holly Springs' stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Golden Hawks 52-0. While losing is never fun, Green Hope can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Holly Springs is ranked 45th).
Meanwhile, Green Level was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 24-19 to Panther Creek.
Despite the loss, Green Level got a solid performance out of Gavin Jones, who rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.
The losses dropped Green Hope to 1-7 and Green Level to 2-6.
Green Hope strolled past Green Level in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a score of 42-25. Does Green Hope have another victory up their sleeve, or will Green Level turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
