While PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down the Beardstown Tigers 46-31 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bluejays sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Beardstown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cleon Djafalo, who posted eight points and five rebounds. Colby DeSollar was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Beardstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
