After flying high against the Tensas Academy Chiefs last Friday, the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams came back down to earth. Wilkinson County Christian Academy was beaten by Woodlawn Prep 57-25 on Tuesday. Wilkinson County Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-13.
GAVIN DAVIS and JACOB SESSIONS certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. DAVIS scored seven points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while SESSIONS scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. SESSIONS is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodlawn Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Sinclair, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Drayson Patterson, who scored 12 points.
Wilkinson County Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which is still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season. As for Woodlawn Prep, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.
Wilkinson County Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Tallulah Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Tallulah Academy is ranked 322nd in Louisiana, while Wilkinson County Christian Academy is ranked 304th in Mississippi). As for Woodlawn Prep, they will be playing at home against Tensas Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tensas Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
