The East Tigers were the 58-33 winner over the Linden-McKinley Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. East ended up on the wrong side of a tough 54-29 walloping at the hands of Linden-McKinley on Tuesday.
It was another big night for Christiana Towns, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 19 rebounds for Linden-McKinley. The game was Towns' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty'janae Mccarrel, who scored nine points along with nine steals.
East now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Linden-McKinley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
East will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Scott at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Linden-McKinley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
